Jamie Tiampo
President
The founder and president of SeeFood Media, Jamie Tiampo is a leading expert in food media and creator of eatTV.com. Formerly a successful technology executive at IBM, Jamie’s love of all things digital, combined with his aesthetic vision and culinary skill, makes him a unique resource for food media productions. Jamie has photographed top selling cookbooks such as Sara Moulton’s Everyday Dinners (Simon & Schuster), and Soaked, Slathered & Seasoned (John Wiley & Sons). He puts his technology chops to use producing videos for clients such as Reynolds Wrap, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, and the French Culinary Institute, as well as consulting on best practices for online video. He also teaches courses on food video production, online video trends, food photography & styling, and on-demand publishing. In addition to his work in food media, Jamie is active in the food community, serving as an elected member of the Board of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP).
Before his tenure in the wide world of food, Jamie was a cofounder of Cyanea Systems Corp, a software firm which was acquired by IBM. After traveling the world and training their global sales force, he decided to follow his nose and pursue his lifelong passion for food.
A classically trained chef, Jamie holds a Grand Diplome in Classic Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute. He also holds a Master’s degree in Food Studies from New York University, and a Restaurant Management Diploma from the Institute for Culinary Education. He is a partner in dell’anima and L’artusi restaurants in New York. In his spare time, Jamie scours the globe in search of exotic salt and torments his dog, Chewbarka.
